Survey on the Time Activity for Drug Related Services by Nurses

|
This study was conducted to survey the nurses´ drug related time activities and the actual conditions in Ⅳ admixtures including anticancer drugs on their jobs. The questionnaires are made by nurses´ response in eight general hospitals in Seoul. The period of study is from August to September 1988. The data were analyzed by statistical methods of multiple comparision. On time activity analysis, they spend 53.4％ of working hours drugs related services. On questionnaires for Ⅳ admixtures including anticancer drugs, most of nurses had many difficulties such as facilities, time, safety, and the lack of drug related knowledge in compounding intravenous admixtures. As a result, many of respondants(79.4％) hoped to prepare Ⅳ admixtures in pharmacy.
